My eyes are ever on the Lord , for only he will release my feet from the snare. Psalm 25:15 NIV
I love this verse. We all get in situations, snares, that bind us and hinder us from moving forward. I've certainly been there. Sometimes it's our own doing, sometimes not. We look around trying to find some way out. We squirm and fidget and forget how we got there in the first place. Sometimes, like a wild animal caught in a snare, we chew off our own foot to get free. But all that does is hurt us more.
David says that when he gets in situations like that, he keeps his eyes on God. He praises him. He prays. Because he knows only God can truly free him. We must wait for God's hand to move to free us.
What snare are you in that you've been working to get out of?
