Infections

Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise. Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. Proverbs 15:31‭-‬32 NIV

I just called the dentist for a problem that I want to just go away. It sounds very complicated, not to mention expensive, to get one tooth fixed that has a possible infection. I really don't want to go. But what happens if I ignore the infection? There could have serious repercussions if I don't take care of it.

This is what sin is like if we don't heed advice from God's word and those he's placed in our lives to give us good instruction. It will just sit and fester and not get any better. God loves us and wants to see us whole and well, ready to do his work.
