Don't Cross the Street

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 NIV

It's taken me a few days to get back to these little vignettes.  I've been reading and contemplating on my daily verses but not recording my thoughts here. I've not done a good job of obeying God's request of me to do this. I have been like a child who forgets that her father told her it was dangerous to cross the street alone. But I did anyway. And now it's going to be hard to get back because the street is busy and I've no one to hold my hand.

Oh but I do have someone! You see, God is not unlike any earthly father. He does chasten us when necessary and if I've disobeyed it may be harder to get back, but he is always there to help. He's calling to me when it's safe to cross. He's ready and waiting to take my hand and walk me home.
