“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. Malachi 3:1 NIV
I don't know of one celebrity or politician who doesn't have 'messengers', those who arrive at a destination beforehand to prepare the living and working quarters, arrange for cars and appointments, etc. That's what they do. When they arrive, people waiting anxiously to get a glimpse of the celebrity know it won't be long till they show up.
Now just think about that in God's terms. He sent his messenger to prepare the way. Shouldn't we be just as, if not more anxiously awaiting His coming? God's messenger has come. Jesus came and prepared the way for us to be with him. That means God is not far behind.
We should be watching and waiting!
