Ice Cream

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. James 1:13‭-‬14 NIV

I don't know if have ever thought God has tempted me, but I sure have thought that he's just ignoring me or having a good laugh at my expense. Ice cream calls to me. Oreos tempt me.

But God doesn't tempt us. He doesnt interfere with our free will. But Satan does tempt us, and he's very good at making it seem inoucuous.

We must be very careful as we navigate our world. It will seem that what we see is normal and okay because well, that's the way it is. Everybody does it. There's nothing wrong with it. And that's where we get hooked.  If it seems right with the world how can it be wrong? We must look at the world through God's lense. If we are unsure we should test it using the Bible.

So let ice cream tempt you. Then go for a jog. But let God lead you otherwise.
