Vindication

Commit your way to the Lord ; trust in him and he will do this: Psalm 37:5 NIV

Vindication. Karma. Justification. Vengeance. These are emotions and actions that in this realm give us some sort of celebratory vibe. We revel in joy when we feel justified and vindicated for a wrong done to us. It's easy to give in to these emotions and excuse the behavior that follows.

But to understand what God says about this, you have to read the verse that follows this one. If we trust in god and commit to him, He will be our vindication. Not us. Not karma. Not human laws. God will be the one to make the wrongs right. It's better to let God speak through your actions so people can see what's true and right. Shouting from the rooftops can seem like the right thing to do but it can backfire. Commit to God and let him go before you.
