Pass It On

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 NIV

Here it is. The reason we should seek and receive comfort from God in times of need: we are to pass it on! We can't pass it on if we haven't received it. We can only pay bills with the money we have, right? So until it's banked, nothing is going out.

It's come up in recent says about what good prayer can do for the grieving and hurt. Well here it is. Prayer is our connection to God. God gives us comfort. We share that comfort with others.

Open your heart to receive from God so that you may help others. For one day someone will pass it back to you.
