Learn at His Feet

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8 NIV

We've all had good and bad instructors, teachers, mentors...after all, they're only human. In that role I know I have failed at least once and probably more. I do try to be a good role model and teacher...some are better at this than others.

But here the psalmist is saying he will be taught by the great teacher himself. Imagine learning at the feet of Jesus. That's what spending time in God's word allows us to do. And when we do we discover secrets and wonders, we open our hearts to want more than just our selfish ambitions.  We want to learn and understand what God wants.

And this is the key to having a heart for God.
