Whom and What

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 NIV

The whom in this verse could be interpreted as what, meaning things as well as people. We already know we shouldn't fear death because Jesus has conquered death. Or the unknown because God already knows your future and has plans for you. These two things are not a whom at all, but rather a what. So is this whom the Psalmist speaks of?

Possibly satan as he regularly tries to steal our joy and peace. Possibly people, like leaders or gossipers that make us afraid.  Bullys for sure...we should be afraid of them either. Living in God means living in complete victory over everything.  So why is it so hard to claim? I can't answer that as I'm still trying to figure it out.

But claim it as though you have it. Claim it in his name.
